Dr. Gabriel Carabello

Vascular Surgeon

Dr. Gabriel Carabello is a board-certified vascular surgeon with over 30 years of experience treating patients with a wide range of vascular conditions. A lifelong resident of Los Angeles, California, he has dedicated much of his career to helping individuals manage complex medical issues such as carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and peripheral vascular disease. His approach to care has remained consistent—focused, dependable, and patient-centered.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Loyola Marymount University in 1985, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his surgical training at King-Drew Medical Center, where he finished both his Internship and General Surgery Residency by 1995. To deepen his expertise, he pursued a Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship in 1996 and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at UCLA in 1997. In 2008, he completed a Mini Fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital, further expanding his clinical skill set.

Over the years, Gabriel Carabello, MD, has served in various hospitals and medical practices across California, Arizona, and Florida. He has worked in both long-term and short-term roles, providing care in facilities with pressing patient needs. His experience includes work at Yuma Regional Medical Center and HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, as well as surgical practices throughout the Los Angeles area. His focus has remained on vascular access and minimally invasive procedures for patients requiring ongoing treatment.

From 1997 to 1999, he served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery, mentoring medical students while continuing to provide clinical care. He holds licenses in several states and maintains board certifications in both General and Vascular Surgery. Additionally, he is certified in life support and moderate sedation and is fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling him to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.

His contributions to medicine include research publications on trauma and vascular care, as well as recognition from colleagues and hospital staff for his dedication and professionalism.

Dr. Gabriel Carabello continues to serve patients in Los Angeles and Yuma, offering steady, experienced care to individuals facing severe vascular health conditions. His long-standing commitment to patient outcomes remains central to his ongoing medical practice.
